COVID-19: How we are keeping our guests safe

During this difficult time, the team at Banksia Gardens Albany are taking extra measures to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. This includes: 

  • Remote reception: all check in and check out procedures are conducted where possible by mobile phone to reduce traffic through our reception building and reduce unnecessary contact for guests; but don't worry - our team is still onsite and available to help you where needed.

  • Social distancing: all on site staff have been provided training and information in line with government and medical advice regarding social distancing and minimising all interpersonal contact where possible; this information is reiterated and discussed at the beginning of every shift;

  • All all cleaning staff wear appropriate PPE including face masks and thick rubber gloves when cleaning and servicing rooms;

  • All common and high touch areas are sanitised multiple times per day;

  • Long stay guests are given a clean and sheet change to their room once a week, with cleaning staff practising the maximum level of hygiene and harm reduction measures;

  •  Delivered breakfast: where a guest requires breakfast, it is prepared in our commercial kitchen with a very high food safety and handling standard, and delivered to the guest room to minimise contact for the guest.
